About

Chromatopia, LLC is at the crossroads of creativity, bringing music, arts, poetry, literature, and design to an interconnected, informed, and vital global community. Think of us as an independent Publishing House, Art Gallery, and Record Label all under one umbrella. Our mission is to publish literature and poetry, to present contemporary art, and to produce experimental music. Through new media, collaborations, 21st century delivery methods, and interactive community formation Chromatopia, LLC brings the future of the arts to intelligent, discerning, and progressive clients. Our key values are honesty, creativity, innovation, aesthetics, professionalism, charity, integrity, and vision.

My name is Anna Montgomery and I’m the Founder of Chromatopia, LLC. I’m a painter, writer, photographer, composer, digital artist, and vocalist. My paintings have been exhibited in 26 group and 11 solo shows. Trained in opera by a woman whose career spanned 20 years at the Metropolitan Opera I perform at a local venue but mostly in my living room. Last year I began composing choral works, small ensemble pieces, and am working on an opera and symphony.

As the former Executive Director of The Other Side Arts, a nonprofit community arts center based in Denver and Aurora, I helped bring the arts and art therapy to 65,000 people. I’m passionate about community service and have clocked more than 8,000 volunteer hours and raised over $350,000. I live in the mountains of Colorado. I have a degree in Biology from Colorado College and took my liberal arts education to heart. Philosophy, mythology, science, psychology, games, philanthropy, music, literature, poetry, and art are my sustenance.

Welcome to Chromatopia, LLC, I look forward to meeting you.

I saw that you liked my poem “Flies”. I had a look at the Chromatopia site. Should I consider you think it might be worth submitting some writing? I see that the last callout has passed. Will there be future ones, and when? I would be interested, if you were?

Thanks

Ben

You are more than welcome to submit work according to the previous guidlines by the end of this month. If you are interested I have a poetry site here http://chromapoesy.com. Nice to meet you.

Can I submit short stories? Also, I’d like to know if rhyming poetry would be acceptable as I compose, in the main, rhyming ones with depth on abstract topics.

Chromatopia, LLC is not currently publishing short stories. The focus is on contemporary and experimental poetry for the next two years. Thank you very much for your inquiry. Here’s a great site with links to opportunities for publishing http://www.pw.org/toolsforwriters.

Thank you David, nice to meet you. I appreciate your visits to my poetry blog and look forward to reading more of your work.

I took the opportunity of your extended absence to finally explore your online presence. I am impressed by its forward-thinking, proactive creativity. Your painting seemed background to me before, but from now on it will be foreground. I checked to see if I could attend your openings and learned that you live in Colorado! It is so beautiful there. I had no idea how proximate you were to last months “random” shooting tragedy. God Bless you and your work, Anna. See you and your words when you have time to return to the poetic web.

It is a truly beautiful state, especially the Rocky Mountain region. Susan, your lovely words always warm my heart! I am blessed to know you :) .
